On Saturday 5/10/08 at 12:19 hours, Companies 5, 19, Medic 20, and EMS 910 were dispatched for a motorcycle accident at Route 464 and Boss Arnold Road. Chief 5 arrived on the scene and advised accident half mile prior to Boss Arnold Road. Before Chief 5 could exit his vehicle a bystander said the motorcyclist was down over the embankment, where he had been thrown after he hit the car. Chief 5 advised ECC to put Trooper 3 in the air and that he would advise as to whether they would be utilized as soon as he could assess the patient, and established Route 464 Command. Upon seeing the patient Command advised ECC that the patient was an 18 year old male, conscious, with compound fractures of both lower extremities and that the helicopter would be utilized. ECC advised Command that Trooper 8 was enroute with a 16 minute ETA. Ambulance 197, Rescue Engine 52, and Squad 19 arrived on the scene. Command advised ECC to dispatch Company 20 for the Landing Zone at Route 464 and Boss Arnold Road. Ropes were tied off to the guardrail so personnel could safely access the patient. Command advised ECC to dispatch Ambulance 209 to transport the motorcyclist to the Landing Zone, due to the road being blocked and Company 19's Ambulance not being able to get through. Personnel had accessed the patient and were evaluating him when EMS 910 and Medic 20 arrived on the scene. A collar was placed on the patient, and he was stablized, and placed on a backboard, the backboard was passed up the hill, to a waiting cot where he was taken to Ambulance 209, further assessed, stablized, transported to the landing zone, and transported to Shock Trauma in Baltimore by Trooper 8 as a priority one patient. Ambulance 197 transported the female driver of the car he struck to FMH for neck and back pain.
Evidently motorists were stopped in both directions on Route 464 for a dog in the road, as the motorcyclist topped the hill and saw the stopped vehicles, he applied the brakes and laid the motorcycle down. The motorcycle and operator slid down the road approximately 100 feet prior to striking the back of the SUV. When he struck the back of the vehicle it threw him across the road under the guardrails and down the embankment.Motorcycle Accident Route 464 5/10/08

On Wednesday April 9, 2008 this Racoon showed up for a visit as he came roaming into the firehouse to check things out. When he came in the members in there went out, and closed the doors behind then. Animal control was called and they came to investigate. The Racoon seemed very friendly because when you knocked on the door he would come to the door stand up and look to see who was there. Animal control arrived, went in caught him on a loop stick, placed him in the cage and turned him loose in a wooded area.Visitor

At 19:50 hours on October 27, 2007 Ambulance 197 came up on this accident on Souder Road at the water tower. Ambulance 197 called for a Auto Accident assignment and Squad 19 and Rescue Engine 52 were dispatched.
